On the evening of Monday 23rd March 2020, we sat at home in anticipation as Boris advised us (not specifically my wife and I, but the entire UK) to stay at home in order to flatten the curve and support the NHS.
As a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, our shop in Leamington Spa has been closed since. I have been keeping myself busy with my wife’s very short list of DIY jobs; starting with refurbishing the kitchen stools, and ending with repainting the summer house for our granddaughter, with a bit of redecorating the lounge, hallway and stairs in between.
With my 3 adult daughters living across the country, we are no stranger to video calls and have been keeping in virtual contact. We all remain healthy and I hope you are as well!
Our online store has remained busy during the nationwide lock-down so far, and I have been posting orders out as quickly as I am able. Despite everyone’s restricted movements, it appears that there have been several black tie events held across the nations kitchens and living rooms. With many dinner suits, waistcoats and swimming trunks being posted out shortly before the Easter bank holiday weekend. I expect the swimming trunks were very useful during the nice weather we have been experiencing, and I have enjoyed the mental picture of my customers taking part in Joe Wicks’ P.E. lessons in their new dinner suits.
As you might expect, the lock-down has delayed my retirement from retail. I am hoping to reopen the Leamington Spa shop as soon as is safe to do so and continue to serve you for the foreseeable future.
There are huge discounts across the website as I continue to clear the remaining stock. Check out our lockdown bargains whilst you can!
